Just got into Chicago and checked into the new Hilton Garden's Hotel in Des Planes... which is a stones throw away from O'Rdeal Airport. The hotel is BRAND NEW and I am the first person staying in this room!!! :P This place has free wireless, a huge restaurant area and everything smells NEW! This is also the first place that I've seen Herman Miller chairs used outside of an office. It's a neat new looking style. Not the old fashion Dot Com chairs that everyone at back in the day had. Really neat. Only complaint I have so far is that it seems the thermostat in the room is way off. It says it's 67° right now but it feels a little warmer. It's that or I'm getting sick from the plane... which would be typical.
Anyhow... everything smells new here... There isn't a scratch on the desks or any of the wood work items for that matter. There's a big Baker's Rack type shelf with a mini fridge & microwave... oh and did I mention free internet? Going to try the restaurant in a few. Got a massive headache from lack of caffine & food. At this point they could serve me an old shoe and I'd eat it up in two seconds.
Wow! Bathroom has an amazingly big hanging mirror in it. I want one of these for my house! How do I sneak it out of here without anyone noticing?!?!?
