Here we all are out at the Palace Theater. What could bring us all out to a nite at the theather? Well Spinal Tap the movie of course. Playhouse Square is showing movies (Wednesday is Wacky Movie Night) on their HUGE PALACE theater screen. Sure everyones see Spinal Tap a dozen times and can recite the movie while it's playing just Rocky Horror freaks can to that flic, but it's the whole big screen experience. Normally I hate going to the big corporate theaters and paying $10 for tickets and $20 for popcorn and sodas but tonight... Tickets are only $4.50 and popcorn & soads only $11 for two people :) Too bad I only found out about this recently. Last week they showed Airplane! Would have loved to see that in this theater.

As a bonus before the movies they show 2 cartoons and a wacky MST3k like short (only without the MST3k... you have to supply the comments). The two cartoons were Bugs Bunnys, one being Water Water every Hare where Bugs meets up with the evil scientist and the big red monster... and the Other was Whats Opera Doc... with the Classic Kill the Rabbit. One thing I realized tonight about Water Water Every Hare was a sceen in it that I didn't fully understand 20 years ago as a kid. Bugs has just confronted the moster for the first time and pulls up a hair dressesers table and is styling the monsters hair. Twenty years ago I just thought that Bugs was imitating a woman hair dresser. Seeing it today I realize he was imitating a male hair dresser... With lisp an all. Great looking 40's doo on the Monster I must say... Anyhow... I thought cartoons like Shrek and Incredibles had a whole lot of things that fly over kids heads and are ment for their parents who brougth them and also have to pay $10. I guess it was like that back in the 30's & 40's too. Go figure!!!
