Every once in awhile I stumble onto something that at first I brush off as lame or not really worth my time. This is the case with My New Favorite Thing. WikiPedia... I frist ran across this website http://www.wikipedia.org back in 2003 or 2004. It kept popping up in Google searches I had done on different items. Most of the information on those pages at the time was pretty sparce or totally not what I was looking for. However, now a days if there is something and I mean anything that I don't really know that much about I'll hit Wikipedia first and get the low down.
The main concept behind Wikipedia is that it is a multiuser online database of facts that anyone can add to. It is 100% open to the world and invites people to post their knowledge on subjects online. Once published others can come in an add to the subject, correct, or call for a delete.
Wikipedia has come a long way since the first time I ran across one of it's pages. Infact, searching for Cleveland in the database shows more information about Cleveland than I think they have on the official Cleveland Ohio web page.|||112520835350657222|||Wikipedia - The Free Encyclopedia
